					Our client, a rapidly growing organization in the construction industry, is expanding its team due to continued growth and several newly awarded projects. They are seeking an Assistant Manager, Finance & Commercial Risk (AMFCR) to join their corporate finance team.
This is a hands-on, analytical, and strategic position that bridges financial analysis, risk management, and project oversight. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with leadership, external stakeholders, and subcontractors, providing insights that guide key business decisions and ensure financial integrity across multiple initiatives.
The role will be fully on-site in Glendale, CA for the first 4–6 months to ensure a strong onboarding and knowledge transfer process.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and review project financial documents, budgets, and forecasts.
 - Partner with internal teams and external subcontractors to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
 - Work with insurance brokers and oversee the financial aspects of contracts and risk documentation.
 - Prepare and present financial findings, risk summaries, and recommendations to leadership.
 - Support project reporting, variance analysis, and cost management activities.
 - Collaborate with senior management to align financial reporting with corporate objectives.
 - Learn and utilize JD Enterprise and internal software systems; adaptability to new technology is essential.
 - Participate in weekly review meetings with the team to discuss key project metrics.
 
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline (required).
 - 5–10 years of relevant professional experience
 - Must have experience in at least two of the following four areas:
 - Construction (industry experience strongly preferred)
 - Finance (corporate or project-based financial analysis)
 - Contracts (financial or commercial contract management)
 - Insurance (experience with insurance documentation or risk management)
 - Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
 - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
 - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to new software systems.
