About the Position
We are looking for a Civil Project Manager to lead and manage the estimating team for various construction projects across residential, commercial, and institutional sectors. You will be responsible for overseeing project budgets, preparing detailed bid estimates, and ensuring the smooth execution of all estimating functions.

Location: Vancouver Island, BC (Nanaimo, Victoria)

Compensation details:

• Base Salary: $100,000 – $130,000, depending on experience
• Benefits: Premiums fully paid; Day 1 coverage

Main Duties:

• Manage multiple projects, ensuring they meet schedule, budget, and contract requirements.
• Prepare accurate estimates and complete tender packages for projects.
• Oversee Quality Control (QC), Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S), traffic management, and environmental plans.
• Manage resources, cost control, progress tracking, and change management processes.
• Conduct site inspections and attend progress meetings.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, and trades.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction or engineering (civil preferred).
• Proven project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and Word.
• A valid BC driver’s license..

Nice to Have:

• Experience in civil construction (infrastructure/utilities).
• Post-secondary education in civil engineering or construction management.
• Experience with estimating software (HeavyBid, A2W, B2W, HCSS).
• Familiarity with environmental, OH&S, and traffic management planning.
