Aplin has partnered with a leading manufacturer to recruit a Plant Manager for their Southwestern Ontario facility.
We’re looking for an experienced and driven professional to lead and oversee the production of a dynamic manufacturing plant. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a key leadership role managing a unionized workforce within a stable organization that has a strong backlog of work and exciting upcoming capital investments.
The successful candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented leader who can balance strategic vision with hands-on management. Acting as the link between upper management and plant operations, you will drive performance, efficiency, and quality while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to enhance production efficiency, quality, and workforce utilization.
- Lead and motivate plant personnel to ensure effective use of resources and alignment with company goals.
- Partner with functional departments to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and implement innovative manufacturing methods to reduce costs and improve product quality.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to design and validate world-class processes.
- Collaborate with the Joint Health and Safety Committee and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Oversee all daily and monthly manufacturing operations, including production, machinery, processing, and packaging.
- Ensure production schedules align with facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial objectives.
- Establish and monitor material storage, replenishment, and quality standards.
- Develop and manage performance metrics and operational budgets.
- Maintain thorough and accurate operational documentation and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Currently employed as a Plant Manager.
- Minimum 5 years of plant operations or engineering experience.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Excellent scheduling and planning skills.
- Solid knowledge of maintenance practices (preventive and predictive).
- Experience with CNC operations is an asset.
