Our client is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager/Estimator to join their Vancouver Island electrical construction group, focused on Commercial, Institutional, and Mixed-Use Residential projects throughout the region. They work on projects ranging from $1M to $60M+, and scopes include full electrical and low-voltage systems.

This is a dual-capacity role responsible for both pre-construction estimating and full-cycle project delivery. The successful candidate must be comfortable taking projects from initial tender through to close-out. This is a backfill role, as the previous SPM transitioned to FortisBC.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of project delivery including estimating, scheduling, procurement, execution, and wrap-up
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions using Accubid and other estimating tools
  • Review and negotiate project contracts, highlighting risk and complex clauses
  • Maintain proactive relationships with suppliers, GCs, consultants, and end users
  • Collaborate with internal teams (field staff, PMs, Estimators, etc.) to ensure operational alignment
  • Manage financials including billing, purchasing, forecasting, and budget control
  • Conduct site visits and post-project reviews to assess successes and learning opportunities
  • Represent the company in business development efforts and identify new opportunities in the region
What we are looking for:
  • 7–10+ years of experience in electrical project management/estimating. This is a hybrid PM estimator role. 
  • Experience delivering institutional, commercial, or mixed-use residential projects
  • Red Seal Electrician or Electrical Engineer (preferred)
  • PMP, Gold Seal, or equivalent PM designation is required
  • Strong experience with Accubid (Pro + Change Order) for estimating
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts, project risk, and cost control
  • Experience in mentoring junior staff
Salary & Benefits:
  • Base Salary: $105,000 – $130,000 DOE
