Senior Electrical Engineer – Industrial / Municipal Projects

Join an energetic, collaborative engineering team in Edmonton delivering fully integrated services across industrial, municipal, and infrastructure projects. You’ll lead electrical design deliverables—from concept through completion—and contribute to multi-discipline initiatives including HVAC, piping, instrumentation, and controls.

Must-Have Qualifications:
  • Professional registration with APEGA as an Intermediate or Senior Electrical Engineer
  • Must have Minimum 8 years of electrical engineering experience in Alberta, particularly in heavy industry, municipal infrastructure, or multi-discipline projects
  • Proficient in E-Tap or comparable electrical system design software
  • Deep technical knowledge of:
  • Low and Medium voltage switchgear
  • Transformers
  • Circuit breakers
  • Protection relays
  • Controls systems
  • Familiarity with PLC and Instrumentation specification, installation, and programming
  • Hands-on experience with HVAC, utilities and backup power generation systems
  • Excellent leadership qualities, mentorship capability, and strong collaborative skills
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of thriving under complex project demands
  • HVAC systems design or integration experience
  • Process piping or petrochemical piping background
  • Exposure to the oil & gas sector projects
  • Demonstrated experience in business development
Compensation:
  • Base Salary: $140,000 – $170,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
  • Vacation leave, comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
