Benefits & Perks
- Compensation: $135,000-$165,000 annually
- Please note, this role will be fully in-office at the client’s Glendale, California office
- Permanent Opportunity + Health and Dental Benefits.
- Hours of Operation: 7:30am to 4:30pm
- Partner with the Manager, Finance & Commercial Risk to oversee financial accounting and administration for the district
- Mentor and coach direct and indirect reports, including accountants, payroll, and administrative staff
- Lead annual planning processes and drive accountability for financial performance
- Monitor receivables, cash position, and develop mitigation strategies for risks and cost deviations
- Support the development of the district’s overall risk profile, including insurance, bonding, and legal claims
- Review and negotiate contract deviations, ensuring risks and opportunities are identified and managed effectively
- Collaborate with leadership to analyze district financial results, profitability, and compliance with budgets
- Provide proactive financial analysis and guidance on project performance and owner audits
- Evaluate joint venture partner financial capability and verify owner funding sources for new projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity
- Construction industry experience strongly preferred
- Advanced knowledge of accounting procedures, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Strong understanding of bid/contract securities, insurance, and claims management
- Intermediate experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contract language
- Skilled in financial risk evaluation, negotiation, and strategic decision-making
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with sound judgment
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills
