Accounting and Payroll Clerk

A well-established transportation and logistics company based in Richmond is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting and Payroll Clerk to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working independently, and has a strong understanding of accounting principles in an operational setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring vendor invoices and payments are processed accurately and on schedule.
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including monitoring accounting emails, tracking outstanding balances, and following up with clients through QuickBooks.
• Prepare, process, and reconcile payroll using ADP and an automated timekeeping system, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, including hours worked, leave balances, deductions, and benefits.
• Support management with HR administrative tasks, such as managing employee documentation and maintaining organized filing systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with QuickBooks and ADP is an asset.
• Background in accounting or bookkeeping is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Openness to feedback and a willingness to learn.

Compensation

• $65,000-$75,000
