About The Position
Your roles & responsibilities will involve:
Leadership & Supervision
- Supervising site crews and provide clear, constructive feedback to ensure high performance.
- Coaching and mentoring Forepersons on safety, productivity and quality.
- Ensuring Forepersons understand and execute the daily plan effectively.
- Participating in annual performance reviews of Forepersons.
- Overseeing daily site operations, including scheduling, equipment and material deliveries, and progress tracking.
- Maintaining a strong on-site presence and support project execution.
- Planning construction processes and collaborating with contractors.
- Delegating and managing daily tasks assigned to field team members.
- Monitoring and tracking project progress while identifying and mitigating risks.
- Working closely with Project Managers to report work progress, crew performance, safety metrics, and schedule variances.
- Promoting and enforcing the implementation of all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conducting and participating in safety inspections and incident investigations.
- Monitoring Forepersons’ responsibilities in conducting Daily Toolbox Talks.
- Ensuring site adherence to quality and safety guidelines.
- Collaborating with operations management to assess subcontractor and staffing requirements.
- Assisting in coordinating subcontractors and attend subcontractor meetings.
- Helping monitor construction work schedules.
- Addressing and resolving on-site issues, disputes, and emergencies.
- Managing communication related to on-site disturbances and crew matters.
- Understanding project budgets and controlling costs while maintaining safety and quality.
- Supporting HR and operations teams in hiring, performance management, and employee relations.
- Ensuring Forepersons submit accurate daily reports, worker timesheets, and equipment logs.
- Monitoring Forepersons' follow-up on material requisitions submitted by Project Managers.
- 5+ years’ Civil Utility experience as a Superintendent.
- Proficient in SiteMax and Bluebeam.
- BC Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record.
- Salary: $125,000 - $165,000 DOE
