A highly respected Seattle law firm with a long-standing reputation in land use and real estate law is seeking an experienced attorney to join their dynamic team. This is a pivotal role designed to support current leadership and take on significant responsibilities in complex land use entitlements, real estate transactions, and regulatory matters. The position is part of a strategic succession plan, offering the right candidate a clear path to long-term leadership.

The Role (Principal or Of Counsel)
You will work closely with a client base that includes developers, municipalities, institutions, and private landowners. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve providing legal counsel on permitting, property acquisitions, and development agreements, among other areas.

Requirements
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the Washington State Bar.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in land use and/or real estate law, ideally with a focus on entitlement work, development, or public agency negotiations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex matters independently and interact effectively with clients, consultants, and government agencies.
  • Existing book of business and track records for business development.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ambition and leadership qualities needed to grow into a key leadership role within the firm.

Why Apply
  • Join a well-established and highly regarded firm known for its depth in land use and real estate.
  • This is not just a lateral move—it's a strategic opportunity designed as part of the firm’s succession planning, offering meaningful partnership and leadership potential.
  • Enjoy a collegial and entrepreneurial environment where your contributions are valued and your professional development is a priority.
