Job Title: HVAC Service Sales Representative
Location: Lower Mainland, British Columbia
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Reports To: Service Manager
Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 base salary (depending on experience), plus commission. Company vehicle or allowance, cell phone, and sales tools provided.

Role Overview
Our client, a well-established commercial HVAC company serving the Lower Mainland, is seeking a proven HVAC Service Sales Representative to join their team. They are known for their strong service division and are looking to grow their maintenance contract business through a dedicated sales professional.
This role is focused on selling commercial HVAC preventative maintenance contracts and multi-year service agreements. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business while also expanding relationships within an existing customer base.

This is a career opportunity for a sales professional who thrives in a smaller, agile environment and wants to make a direct impact. The company is patient in its search but will move quickly when the right candidate is identified.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell commercial HVAC preventative maintenance contracts and multi-year service agreements.
  • Generate new business through cold calling, site visits, networking, referrals, and follow-up on service and repair leads.
  • Sell to building owners, property managers, facility managers, strata managers, and general contractors.
  • Collaborate with Service Managers, Coordinators, and Technicians to convert service calls and repair recommendations into maintenance contracts.
  • Identify and pursue replacement, upgrade, and energy efficiency opportunities within the existing customer base.
  • Assess commercial HVAC equipment condition and recommend appropriate service programs.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and contract renewal.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • Proven experience selling plant maintenance contracts in the local commercial HVAC market. This is the most critical requirement.
  • Ability to speak fluently to sales numbers—what you have sold, generated, and can realistically produce. Candidates must be able to break down their figures in detail.
  • Commercial HVAC equipment knowledge, with the ability to assess equipment condition and recommend the right program.
  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC, mechanical service, or facilities.
  • Valid driver’s license, own transportation, and willingness to travel throughout the Lower Mainland.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Technical background prior to sales (e.g., service technician, gas fitter, refrigeration mechanic, or former service manager).
  • Existing commercial property management and facilities network in the Lower Mainland.
  • Familiarity with RTUs, heat pumps, boilers, chillers, AHUs, make-up air, and ventilation systems.
  • Track record of success in renewals and retention, not just new business acquisition.
