Construction Drafter

Aplin, one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an experienced AutoCAD Drafter/Designer to join their team.

The Role

• Manage all aspects of drafting and design using AutoCAD, creating detailed drawings for client review. Experience with Revit is considered an asset.
• Collaborate with Sales, Construction, and end customers to ensure specifications are accurately interpreted for quotation and project requirements.
• Identify and apply effective drafting and design practices while collaborating with colleagues and sharing technical knowledge.
• Review project requirements and ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and aligned with customer specifications.

The Ideal Candidate

• Diploma or equivalent qualification as a Structural, Civil, or Architectural Technologist, with a proven background in construction drafting and design.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is an asset.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction drawings and customer specifications.
• 3+ years of drafting and design experience within commercial or residential construction.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work effectively with multiple teams.
