About the Position
Reporting to the Owner, the Director of Finance will oversee the organization’s finance and accounting functions and work closely with the Owners, Principals, and executive leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, sound business judgment, and an understanding of the real estate development industry.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is comfortable working at both the strategic and operational levels. The Director of Finance will be involved in everything from financial planning and reporting to the day-to-day management of the organization’s financial operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is comfortable working at both the strategic and operational levels. The Director of Finance will be involved in everything from financial planning and reporting to the day-to-day management of the organization’s financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead finance and accounting operations across the company and affiliated entities.
- Maintain effective financial reporting, controls, policies, and processes.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, payables, receivables, and project close-outs.
- Support project feasibility, proformas, budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
- Partner with the Development and Construction teams on project financial matters, closings, and changes.
- Lead financing activities for acquisitions, development, and construction projects.
- Prepare financial models, projections, and supporting materials for lenders.
- Lead corporate and project budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
- Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to the Owners and executive team.
- Oversee year-end audits and manage banking relationships.
- Review major acquisition, construction, sales, leasing, and procurement agreements.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities across projects and operations.
- Provide financial guidance on asset purchases, dispositions, leasing, and tenant matters.
- Lead and develop the accounting team and promote strong financial practices.
- Build effective relationships with banks, auditors, legal advisors, insurers, government authorities, and other external partners.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the Owners and Principals on business initiatives, acquisitions, and financing.
- Designated CPA
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including senior-level experience in finance, accounting, or a related leadership capacity
- Real estate experience is an asset
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, financing, and internal controls
- This is a 5-day a week, in-office role
- Salary: $180,000 to $220,000
