About The Position
- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules and specifications.
- Lead and mentor field crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators.
- Plan daily and weekly work activities, allocating labour, equipment, and materials to meet project targets.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, engineers, inspectors, and clients to resolve site issues and maintain project progress.
- Oversee civil construction activities including earthworks, excavation, underground utilities, roadworks, grading, concrete works, and site servicing.
- Ensure all work complies with project drawings, engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote and enforce company health and safety policies by conducting toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and regular site inspections.
- Monitor labour productivity, equipment utilization, and material requirements while maintaining accurate daily reports and project documentation.
- Identify and resolve construction challenges, implementing corrective actions to minimize delays and maintain project performance.
- Support project closeout activities by coordinating inspections, deficiency corrections, as-built documentation, and final handover requirements.
The Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in civil construction, with previous experience in a Civil Foreman or Lead Hand role.
- Proven experience supervising crews on heavy civil projects, including earthworks, excavation, underground utilities, roadworks, concrete, and site servicing.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, engineers, inspectors, and clients.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with the ability to travel to project sites as required
- $45-$55 Per Hour
