Our client, a leading national law firm, is looking for a Client Relations & Business Development Specialist to join their Vancouver team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of law firm BD experience who is ready to take on more ownership and work directly with lawyers and senior BD leaders across the firm.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Client Relations & Business Development, you’ll support the Vancouver office as well as assigned national practice and industry groups, with a focus on client development, business planning, pitches/RFPs, events and other BD initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Client Relations & Business Development, you’ll support the Vancouver office as well as assigned national practice and industry groups, with a focus on client development, business planning, pitches/RFPs, events and other BD initiatives.
Compensation
- Expected salary range is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
- Partner with lawyers and practice groups on business development plans and initiatives
- Support and coordinate RFPs, pitches and new business opportunities
- Prepare directory and award submissions
- Support client-facing events, seminars, webinars and educational programming
- Assist with sponsorships and industry association initiatives
- Coordinate practice group and client team meetings, including agendas, materials and follow-up
- Support annual BD budgets and monitor expenses
- Conduct market, client and industry research to support BD planning
- Work with Marketing Communications on digital and print collateral
- Help evaluate BD initiatives and provide recommendations on where to focus time and resources
- Collaborate with the broader national BD, Events, Proposals and Marketing team'
- 3+ years of business development/marketing experience within a law firm
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing professional client-facing materials
- Comfortable working directly with lawyers, Partners and senior stakeholders
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative, adaptable and comfortable supporting different practice areas and industries
- Strong technology skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
