Compensation

Compensation
- Competitive salary of approximately $55,000–$85,000, depending on experience and level of responsibility.

- Provide legal administrative and overflow support to lawyers and legal support teams.
- Draft, transcribe, format, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and other materials.
- Coordinate and schedule mediations, discoveries, trials, IMEs, client meetings, and other appointments.
- Manage electronic and physical files, including document organization, filing, binders, and file opening/closing.
- Maintain an efficient bring-forward system and follow up on important deadlines.
- Assist with billing, including preparing and following up on monthly and quarterly statements.
- Provide coverage and adapt to changing workloads, priorities, and schedules across different practice groups.
- Perform general administrative duties and other responsibilities as required.
- Legal Administrative Assistant certificate from an accredited institution or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3–5+ years of legal administrative experience, ideally with exposure to litigation.
- Strong understanding of legal procedures, documentation, filing, and administrative practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with Elite/3E is an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable providing support across different teams and practice areas.
- Professional demeanour and ability to maintain confidentiality.
