Our client is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Civil Design Technologist – CADD Design to join their Edmonton team. What You’ll Do
As a Civil Design Technologist, CADD Design, you will support the delivery of high-quality design drawings and drafting packages across the Edmonton region.

Technical Design & Drafting
  • Support projects from preliminary engineering through completion by applying strong technical design knowledge, drafting expertise, and coordination skills.
  • Prepare detailed engineering design drawings, figures, and drafting packages with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform computer-assisted design and drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D, with an emphasis on efficient CADD workflows and drawing production.
  • Review drawings for drafting accuracy, consistency, and quality control prior to submission.
  • Refine designs based on regulatory and municipal requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Support site grading, earthwork calculations, and other civil design requirements associated with land development projects.
Project & Client Support
  • Support project delivery within established timelines and budgets.
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and design activities to meet project and client requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams, clients, stakeholders, contractors, and municipal representatives.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of multidisciplinary engineering projects.
Mentorship & Professional Growth
  • Support junior staff by sharing CADD design, drafting, and drawing production knowledge.
  • Contribute to the technical development of junior team members and promote knowledge sharing.
  • Help foster a collaborative team environment focused on continuous learning and technical excellence.
What You Bring
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent from a recognized college.
  • Registered as a Professional Licensee (P.L. Eng.), Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.), or Professional Technologist (P.Tech.) in Alberta.
  • Minimum 8 years of direct Civil 3D and land development experience.
  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, including CADD design, drawing production, site grading, and earthwork volume calculations.
  • Knowledge of municipal, water resources, transportation, and land development engineering design, including sewage, water, roads, stormwater, and drainage infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with municipal and provincial design and drafting standards, particularly those applicable to the City of Edmonton and surrounding municipalities.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Bluebeam, and other relevant design programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing project requirements.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
