- Concrete construction
- Asphalt materials and testing
- Quality documentation and compliance processes
- Review prime contract and subcontract details for specifications and requirements.
Conduct quality activities aligned with project scope in accordance with contract terms and conditions. - Review project specifications and identify quality requirements.
- Perform visual inspections, witness testing, monitor work, and document findings in accordance with project Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Observe the functioning of installed equipment or systems to identify hazards and determine the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Produce and collect quality turnover documentation.
- Act as a liaison with field personnel and project staff to provide technical assistance as needed.
- Verify trade contractor compliance with quality programs and contract requirements.
- Plan and coordinate daily Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) activities with construction operations.
- Assist in the planning, execution, and documentation of mock-ups.
- Work with field management to ensure the protection of completed work.
- Stay current with industry best practices, technologies, and innovative construction methods.
- Develop and maintain strong, customer-focused relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Journeyperson/trades certification or a bachelor's degree in Engineering,
- Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of quality control experience in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and quality documentation requirements.
- Experience performing field inspections, testing, and verification activities.
- General knowledge of construction practices, specifications, methods, and procedures.
- Knowledge of concrete and asphalt materials, including testing procedures and acceptance criteria.
- Familiarity with applicable construction codes and industry standards.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
