About The Opportunity
The Accounts Payable Coordinator will support the finance team with high-volume invoice processing, payment coordination, vendor reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies. About The Position
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices, payments, expense reports, and other accounts payable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Review invoices and supporting documentation to ensure proper approvals, coding, and compliance with internal policies.
- Enter invoices into the ERP system and maintain accurate vendor records and account information.
- Perform vendor statement reviews, account reconciliations, and assist with resolving discrepancies.
- Coordinate payment processing through various methods, including EFT, wire transfers, cheques, and corporate credit cards.
- Monitor outstanding accounts and ensure payments are processed accurately and within established timelines.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address invoice inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.
- Support ongoing improvements to accounts payable processes and participate in finance-related projects as required.
- Assist with maintaining organized financial records and ensuring data integrity within accounting systems.
- 2+ years of experience in an accounts payable or related accounting role.
- Post-secondary education in business, accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience working in a multi-entity or fast-paced environment is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience using ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Adaptable mindset with an interest in identifying efficiencies and improving processes.
- Annual salary range is $50,000–$60,000 depending on experience.
