A well-established mechanical contractor with a strong reputation in the Lower Mainland, known for doing things the right way on commercial and institutional tenant improvement (TI) projects. This team prioritizes quality, coordination, and long-term relationships over shortcuts, conflict, or “margin-first” behavior.

About the Opportunity

This is the highest-priority hire for the client: a ticketed Field Lead /Mechanical Foreman who can run crews on commercial and institutional TI jobs. Foremen typically lead crews of 3–5 and carry 1–2 projects at a time, staying hands-on while driving install quality, pace, and coordination with site teams and other trades.

They’re flexible on technical background beyond the ticket—what matters most is character and professionalism. They want someone who puts team and client outcomes first, flags issues early (instead of building to flawed drawings), and leads with integrity rather than relying on aggressive change orders or back-charging.

About the Position

  • Lead and support a crew of 3–5 journeymen on commercial and institutional TI projects
  • Manage 1–2 concurrent jobs, keeping installs moving and maintaining quality standards
  • Coordinate day-to-day with site leadership and other trades to avoid rework and conflicts
  • Review drawings/conditions in the field and raise flags early when something doesn’t make sense
  • Set a strong tone for punctuality, work ethic, and clean, professional execution
  • Represent the company well on-site through a client-first, solutions-focused approach
Requirements:
  • Red Seal plumbing ticket (non-negotiable)
  • 5–10 years of field experience
  • Majority of experience in commercial and institutional TI work
  • Team-first and client-first mindset: willing to flag a bad install rather than build to flawed drawings
  • Integrity-driven approach: not reliant on aggressive change orders, back-charging, or “margin over client” behavior
  • Proven longevity in prior roles (steady tenure; not a job hopper)
Compensation:
  • $51–$55/hour (aligned to union wage rates)
  • Truck + gas card
  • Medical and dental
  • Vacation paid at 7%
