Our client, a rapidly growing global organization, is seeking a Senior Payroll Global Specialist to join their team on a 1-month contract with potential for extension. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced payroll professional who can quickly take ownership of a complex global payroll function and ensure seamless payroll operations during a transition period.

Reporting to the People & Finance teams, the successful candidate will manage payroll across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with external payroll providers, Employer of Record (EOR) partners, staffing agencies, and contractors worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and oversee payroll activities across Canada, the United States, and other international jurisdictions
  • Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers, EOR partners, and external payroll vendors
  • Coordinate payroll for employees, contractors, contingent workers, and agency personnel
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely payments across multiple countries
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
  • Maintain payroll records and support payroll reporting requirements
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, tax regulations, and employment standards across various jurisdictions
  • Support payroll audits, reconciliations, and year-end payroll activities
  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now to administer payroll processes and maintain employee payroll data
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased payroll efficiency
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of payroll experience, including senior-level responsibility for payroll operations
  • Strong hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now is required
  • Proven experience processing both Canadian and U.S. payroll
  • Experience supporting payroll across multiple countries is required; global payroll experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with Employer of Record (EOR) providers, staffing agencies, third-party payroll vendors, and contractor populations
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Ability to troubleshoot payroll issues and effectively coordinate with external payroll partners
  • Capable of stepping into a standalone payroll role and quickly assuming ownership of the function
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
