We are seeking a Warehouse Worker/Production Support worker for a 2-3 month contract with potential for permanent conversion based in Burnaby. This is a full-time role with a growing local company!
 
Primary Duties:
  • Operate forklift
  • Support the production process
  • Pick parts for parts orders
  • Perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment
  • Inspect shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify the accuracy of the shipment
  • Pack, seal, and label materials to prepare for shipping
  • Adhere to production policies/procedures and regulatory compliance procedures
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and/or standards and complete appropriate documentation as required
  • Maintain production and compliance with ISO 9001 requirements
  • Complete incident reports in relation to health and safety issues
  • Assist in maintaining warehouse organization
Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience
    • Forklift certification required
    • A clean driving record is desirable.
    • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Business Central preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge Skills and Abilities
    • Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
    • Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety.
    • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds required on a routine basis.
    • Steel-toe boots must be worn inside the warehouse at all times.
    • Ability to take direction and follow pre-established guidelines
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize
    • Ability to perform basic math
    • Ability to work alone with minimum supervision
    • Ability to work in a team environment
