Are you an early-career finance professional looking to build a career with a growing finance team in Edmonton? This is a full-time, on-site role.
 
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, performance analysis, and strategic decision support while working alongside experienced finance leaders committed to mentoring and developing talent.
 
What You'll Do
  • Assist with financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities
  • Build and maintain financial models to support business planning and investment decisions
  • Analyze financial results, key performance indicators (KPIs), and business trends
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports
  • Conduct profitability, variance, and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis
  • Support due diligence and financial analysis related to acquisitions, financing initiatives, and strategic projects
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and recommendations for senior leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial and operational data
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data quality, and operational efficiency
  • Support month-end, year-end, audit, and financial reporting activities
 What We're Looking For
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, banking, corporate finance, FP&A, or a related role
  • Experience in within Treasury is an asset
  • Strong Excel skills with experience working with large datasets and financial models
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret financial information and communicate insights effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools is considered an asset
