Our client is seeking a skilled Technical Business Analyst to support the delivery of Business Technology Renewal (BTR) Program. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business interest holders and technical teams, ensuring successful analysis, documentation, system integration, and implementation of improvements across platforms and operations. This role requires strong analytical and technical skills, stakeholder management, and experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments. 

Responsibilities
  • Examine existing systems, software, business workflows to identify inefficiencies or issues. 
  • Create detailed system specifications, diagrams, technical manuals. Participate in software architecture decisions. 
  • Maintain records of system configurations, updates, and issues. 
  • Collect and document user requirements from stakeholders. Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams. Ensure documentation is understandable to both technical teams and business users. 
  • Assist with project management tasks. 
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and relevant regulations. 
Formal Education & Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline. 
  • Business Analysis certification (such as IIBA) is equired.
  • PMP certification desirable. 
Knowledge & Experience
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst. 
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC. 
  • Experience working with technical teams on APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail. 
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence. 
  • Familiarity with project management tools
  • Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements. 
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Experience in higher education or public-sector environments is an asset.
