Position Overview
The Corporate Commercial Legal Assistant is responsible for providing legal and administrative support to lawyers within the Corporate Commercial Securities Practice Group.

Position Overview
The Corporate Commercial Legal Assistant is responsible for providing legal and administrative support to lawyers within the Corporate Commercial Securities Practice Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing, drafting, and revising legal documents and correspondence
- Coordinating the flow of documents between internal and external clients
- Working proactively and initiating follow-up actions to expedite workflow
- Transcribing digital dictation
- Performing conflict searches, file openings, and file closings
- Managing correspondence, booking appointments, and diarizing deadlines
- Managing incoming mail and e-mail
- Regular interaction with clients and other lawyers
- Billing and other practice management tasks
- Maintaining organized and complete files within an electronic document management system
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Customer-service focused, both internally and externally
- Professional, confidential, and discreet
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented
- Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the firm
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate from an accredited Legal Assistant or Paralegal program, and/or successful experience working as a Legal Assistant
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a busy Corporate Commercial practice
