Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator for an immediate temporary opportunity with the potential to become a temporary-to-hire position.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Preference will be given to candidates located in Winnipeg; however, the role can be performed remotely.

Responsibilities:
  • Process full-cycle bi-weekly Canadian payroll for employees across multiple provinces in a high-volume environment for 1500 employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation, CRA regulations, employment standards, taxation requirements, and termination processes
  • Process payroll changes including new hires, terminations, rate increases, bonuses, commissions, retroactive pay, and ROEs
  • Reconcile payroll deductions including CPP, EI, Income Tax, RRSPs, benefits, and arrears tracking
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, resolve payroll discrepancies, and support payroll reporting, reconciliations, and audits
  • Collaborate with internal teams while managing strict payroll deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Support ongoing payroll projects and process improvements as required
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3+ years of Canadian payroll experience in a high-volume environment for 1,000+ employees required
  • PCP (Payroll Compliance Professional) designation, or progress toward certification, is considered a significant asset
  • Strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and provincial employment standards; Manitoba payroll experience is considered an asset
  • Experience with Dayforce is strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills for reporting, reconciliation, and payroll analysis
  • High level of integrity with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work hours aligned with North American business time zones
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
