Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin are seeking an experienced Business Analyst for an immediate long-term remote opportunity. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and healthcare partners to support system implementations, integrations, testing, organizational change management activities, and business intelligence reporting initiatives.

This is a remote opportunity for candidates based in Canada. 

Responsibilities
  • Lead business analysis activities for complex healthcare information system implementation projects
  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements from stakeholders
  • Perform process mapping and workflow analysis to support system improvements and transformation initiatives
  • Support integration analysis and testing activities involving HL7 healthcare messaging standards
  • Review and analyze rejected HL7 messages and troubleshoot data-related integration issues
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams on provincial healthcare client registry integrations and testing
  • Develop detailed test plans, test scripts, and execute system integration testing and user acceptance testing
  • Support organizational change management activities including development of training materials and delivery of virtual training sessions and demonstrations
  • Develop and test Business Intelligence (BI) reports derived from healthcare application data
  • Provide regular project updates, documentation, and stakeholder communications
Qualifications
  • PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner certification
  • 10+ years of experience performing business analysis activities supporting information system implementation projects and process mapping initiatives
  • 8+ years of experience eliciting requirements from stakeholders and implementing systems within a healthcare environment
  • 5+ years of experience performing analysis and testing on healthcare information system integrations using HL7 standards
  • Experience reviewing rejected HL7 messages and resolving data integration issues
  • 5+ years of experience working with provincial healthcare client registry solutions including integration analysis and testing
  • Must be able to provide at least 2 project examples demonstrating client registry experience totaling a minimum of 5 years
  • 6+ years of experience testing information systems including development of test plans, test scripts, and execution of system and user acceptance testing
  • 1+ year of experience providing organizational change management services including development of training materials and delivery of virtual training and demos
  • 3+ years of experience developing and testing Business Intelligence (BI) reports derived from application data
  • Excellent communication, analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Criminal background check is required
