This is a fly-in, fly-out site-based position technically supporting a large underground mine construction project and interacting closely with raisebore contractors and various construction teams.
Key responsibilities include day-to-day field technical support for project execution and construction activities (specifically raiseboring and underground ventilation); assisting with planning, coordination, and sequencing of work in alignment with project schedules; preparing and maintaining engineering and project documentation; liaising closely with site superintendents, supervisors, and construction contractors; completing field QA/QC activities; providing input to progress tracking, cost awareness, and change identification; participating in site meetings, inspections, and reviews, and supporting clear communication of technical decisions; and ensuring work is conducted in compliance with site safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Our ideal candidate holds a degree in Mining, Civil, or related engineering discipline; 5+ years of underground mine experience; strong understanding of field-based project execution, contractor coordination, and construction support; ability to produce and review technical and project documentation to support execution and handover; strong safety awareness and experience working under site safety management systems; experience with Deswik.CAD; and Clear written and verbal communication skills suitable for a site-based, multi-disciplinary environment.
