• Compensation: $115,000 to $135,000 base salary + annual bonus
• Please note, this role will be hybrid (3-4 days per week on-site)
• Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday: 37.5 hours/week (with potential for extended hours during peak audit periods).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end audits focused on non-retail credit risk across commercial banking, wholesale lending, and global portfolios
• Act as Officer in Charge (OIC) on audit engagements, overseeing planning, execution, and reporting
• Evaluate credit risk management frameworks, including origination, adjudication, monitoring, and portfolio management
• Develop risk-based audit plans and ensure appropriate testing to support audit conclusions
• Review audit workpapers, identify control gaps, and provide actionable recommendations addressing root causes
• Present audit findings and insights to senior management and executive stakeholders
• Contribute to the development and execution of the annual audit plan across global credit risk functions
• Leverage data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx) to enhance audit effectiveness and generate risk insights
• Support regulatory and internal reporting requirements, including exposure to OSFI-related audits
• Coach and mentor junior team members (1–2 direct reports), fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment
• Partner with stakeholders across multiple geographies and business lines to drive continuous improvement in risk management practices

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in credit risk, lending, or internal audit within a financial services environment
• Experience across first line (credit structuring/adjudication), second line (risk oversight), or third line (internal audit) environments
• Strong understanding of credit risk lifecycle, including financial analysis, credit structuring, and portfolio management
• Experience within a banking environment (Canadian Big 5 strongly preferred; global banking experience also considered)
• Proven ability to lead audits or complex projects end-to-end with strong stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and audit standards (e.g., OSFI, IIA, COSO)
• Strong analytical and data skills, including advanced Excel (pivot tables) and exposure to Power BI and/or Alteryx
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage executive-level stakeholders
• Professional designation such as CPA, CFA, CIA, or MBA is considered an asset
• Spanish language skills and international audit exposure are considered strong assets
