Our client, a growing company in the construction industry, is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. This is a hands-on role for a self-starter who enjoys taking ownership, working independently, and being deeply involved in the day-to-day accounting operations.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and deliver the full month-end close process with accurate, timely reporting
- Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and daily accounting operations
- Prepare and review progress billings in collaboration with Project Managers
- Maintain detailed Work in Progress (WIP) schedules and record revenue adjustments
- Oversee the processing of payroll
- Prepare internal financial statements and supporting schedules
- Reconcile bank accounts and key balance sheet accounts
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Coordinate with external accountants for year-end reporting
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Proven ownership of month-end close with consistent, on-time delivery
- Experience in the construction industry (WIP, progress billing, holdbacks) is a strong asset
- Supervisory experience
- CPA designation (or equivalent experience)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
