We are hiring an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager for a 3–6 month contract to support a critical function during a period of transition. This is a high-impact, standalone role reporting directly to senior leadership, with a primary focus on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).

This role is ideal for someone who can step in quickly, operate independently, and bring structure to enterprise risk practices.

This is a remote position but the successful candidate must be located in Alberta for some in office requirements. 

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead and maintain the organization’s Enterprise Risk Management framework, ensuring alignment with best practices
  • Identify, assess, and monitor enterprise risks, supporting leadership with clear mitigation strategies and reporting
  • Provide guidance and oversight on risk governance, policies, and internal controls
  • Support and stabilize business continuity and organizational resiliency planning
  • Provide input into occupational health and safety frameworks and risk considerations
  • Develop and enhance risk reporting, dashboards, and documentation for senior leadership
  • Act as the sole risk lead, bringing structure, clarity, and consistency during a transition period
What You Bring:
  • 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management, risk advisory, or similar functions
  • Experience operating at a senior Manager or Director level, comfortable working independently
  • Strong knowledge of risk frameworks, governance, and compliance environments
  • Ability to work with and influence senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience in business continuity, resiliency planning, or OHS is an asset
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to step in and add value immediately
