Senior Contracts Manager

We are seeking a seasoned contract management professional to support a large-scale industrial construction project. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role focused on execution of complex construction contracts (not procurement). You’ll be working closely with construction, finance, and project teams to ensure strong commercial control, compliance, and performance across multiple active contracts.

This is a 12 month contract on site in NE Edmonton.

What You’ll Do

• Lead administration of construction-phase contracts (T&M, unit rate, reimbursable)
• Review and validate contractor invoices, timesheets, and cost components against contract terms
• Manage change orders, claims, and commercial negotiations
• Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and rate compliance
• Partner with construction, finance, and project controls teams as the key commercial interface
• Track costs, commitments, accruals, and forecasts using SAP and internal systems
• Ensure alignment with governance, audit, and reporting requirements
• Proactively identify risks and drive resolution in a high-volume environment

What You Bring

• Extensive experience managing construction contracts within large industrial or energy projects
• Strong expertise with Time & Materials contracts and cost validation
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex contracts in a fast-paced, site-based environment
• Advanced SAP experience (cost tracking, reporting, accruals)
• Experience with structured governance frameworks and contract controls (e.g., LEMS)
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management
• Ability to operate with urgency, confidence, and minimal oversight
