  • Pricing Strategy: Determine competitive and accurate pricing aligned with market conditions and risk exposure
  • Relationship Management: Build strong partnerships with brokers and clients, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with actuarial and claims teams to refine underwriting strategies and ensure compliance
What You Bring
  • 6–7+ years of experience in commercial underwriting
  • General Insurance License (Level 1 or 2), or willingness to obtain within a short timeframe
  • Post-secondary education and/or CIP designation considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance markets and underwriting principles
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident working with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong analytical capabilities
What Success Looks Like
In your first year, you will:
  • Identify risks and opportunities proactively
  • Deliver creative solutions to complex underwriting challenges
  • Build trusted relationships across brokers and internal teams
  • Contribute to a strong and sustainable underwriting portfolio
What’s In It for You
  • Competitive compensation package ($85,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience)
  • Retirement savings plan with employer matching
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and lifestyle benefits
  • Paid time off and vacation program
  • Education reimbursement and professional development support
  • Fitness and wellness initiatives
  • Employee discount programs
  • A collaborative, people-first culture that values growth and performance
Why This Opportunity
