Stacey Danley at Aplin has partnered with a growing downtown Winnipeg law firm on the search for a Senior Corporate Paralegal. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced corporate professional to join a collaborative legal team and play a key role in managing complex corporate files while supporting lawyers and clients across a wide range of transactions.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise in corporate law, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to a team of paralegals
  • Prepare and file documents for the incorporation of Manitoba, Federal, and professional corporations
  • Complete extra-provincial registrations and business name registrations
  • Create, maintain, and organize electronic and physical corporate minute books
  • Maintain and update corporate records using corporate database software
  • Prepare and file annual returns, annual resolutions, and business name renewals across multiple jurisdictions
  • Draft and file corporate documents related to amalgamations, amendments, dissolutions, share transfers, dividends, and changes of principals
  • Conduct online filings and corporate searches with registries across Canada
  • Assist with documentation related to mergers, acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations
  • Prepare standard business and corporate agreements
  • Serve as a key point of contact for lawyers, accountants, external counsel, and clients
  • Respond to inquiries and provide guidance on corporate filings and compliance matters
  • Monitor legislative changes to ensure corporate entities remain compliant
  • Maintain and update corporate precedents, protocols, and procedures within the department
  • Support workflow coordination by delegating tasks appropriately and monitoring workloads
Qualifications
  • Several years of experience as a Corporate Paralegal in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Strong working knowledge of corporate filings and procedures across Canadian jurisdictions
  • Experience maintaining corporate minute books and corporate records
  • Proficiency with corporate database software and electronic filing systems
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with legal professionals and clients
