An established pediatric rehabilitation organization is seeking a Manager, Facilities to support operations and provide operational leadership to an experienced and committed building operations team. This will be a single site located in Downtown Toronto.

Reporting to the Director, Facilities Management, the Facilities Manager will play a key role in capital planning, project management, and maintaining systems and equipment.

  • $110,000 - $140,000 salary range, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for facilities and transportation services, keeping senior leadership informed of operations and issues.
  • Directly manage and develop a team of building operators, including performance management, workload allocation, recruitment, scheduling, and staff development.
  • Oversee daily maintenance, preventive maintenance, and work order systems to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.
  • Lead emergency response and manage critical building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, medical gases, fire protection, emergency power) including shutdowns and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, accessibility, environmental, and industry standards, including life safety systems testing and documentation.
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, procurement activities, and purchasing while monitoring budgets and expenditures.
  • Support planning and execution of capital projects, asset preservation, and sustainability initiatives, including utility optimization and carbon reduction efforts.
  • Maintain operational reporting, key performance indicators, records (e.g., training, WHMIS, payroll), and update policies and procedures.
  • Build collaborative relationships across departments and external partners, supporting inclusion, equity, and organizational initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Post-secondary diploma in Facilities Management (or equivalent) with FMA, FMP, or similar professional designation preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in pool operations and maintenance; certified pool operator designation considered an asset.
  • Strong technical background in HVAC systems and building automation (including Johnson Controls BAS).
  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience executing facility work plans and background in construction-related environments.
  • Criminal record check required.
