Our client, a growing entrepreneurial company in Calgary is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations and support the founders with financial reporting and business insights.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys both hands-on bookkeeping and providing financial insight in a growing business environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong financial processes while helping the company continue to scale.
This position will be a hybrid model role with 1-2 days per week in the downtown Calgary office.

Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and ensure timely month-end processes
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting
- Track product and customer margins
- Support quarterly forecasting and cash flow projections
- Manage payroll and remittances
- Assist with inventory financial tracking and reporting
- Review vendor and customer payment terms and provide recommendations
- Support annual budgeting processes
- Prepare financial information and documentation for the external accountant
- Coordinate year-end processes with the accountant
- Support supply agreements and financial aspects of operational decisions
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping
- Experience preparing financial reports and supporting financial analysis
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
- Experience with Odoo ERP is considered an asset
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
