Our client is seeking a talented Project Manager/Estimator - Power Quality & Preventive Maintenance to join their Service Division in Burnaby, BC.

About the Opportunity
The Power Quality team provides preventative maintenance services through routine inspections and repairs to keep customers’ electrical systems safe, reliable, and efficient. The team supports a variety of projects and service calls, including, electrical distribution maintenance, high-voltage equipment upgrades, UPS and generator servicing, annual operating permits, and electrical planning reports.

Working with a skilled and growing team, this role involves applying technical expertise, project management, and customer service skills to deliver successful projects and build strong client relationships.

This opportunity is available to candidates based in Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Langley,, New Westminster, Abbotsford, Delta, Richmond and Coquitlam. 

About the Position
Your Role will Involve:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, consultants, contractors, and end users
  • Review contracts and address unfavorable clauses and conditions
  • Take ownership of project financial performance
  • Estimate costs, manage changes, and prepare tenders
  • Source and purchase materials and equipment
  • Collaborate with the Power Quality Manager, Coordinators, and Service Electricians to schedule preventative maintenance and small projects
  • Oversee projects and maintain a regular presence on job sites
  • Review labour and job status reports for accuracy and adjust as needed
  • Arrange completion of project manuals and Power Quality reports
  • Ensure deficiencies are resolved promptly by Service Electricians
  • Confirm as-built drawings are completed and delivered to customers
  • Wrap up projects by reviewing successes and challenges with the foreman and superintendent
  • Finalize documentation to ensure accurate billing and project closeout
The Requirements
  • Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree, or Electrical Technologist diploma
  • 2–3 years of experience in electrical project management and/or estimating
  • Knowledge of Power Quality or Preventative Maintenance
  • Familiarity with high-voltage electrical work
  • Experience with estimating software, especially Accubid Pro and Change Order, asset
  • FSR B or A certification
  • Basic understanding of arc flash studies, infrared scanning, power factor improvement, and UPS systems
Compensation
  • Salary: $85,000 - $100,000
  • Annual Bonus
  • 3 weeks vacation increasing after to years of service.
