Based in Downtown Vancouver, our client has been a leader in the hospitality and restaurant industry for over 30 years. They are currently looking to add a Director of Finance to their team. The ideal candidate is a designated CPA with 7+ years of relevant experience.
About the client
Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Director of Finance will oversee the full-cycle accounting function. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

About the client
Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Director of Finance will oversee the full-cycle accounting function. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for different restaurants, including consolidated reporting.
- Prepare documentation for the annual audit and work in collaboration with external auditors for year end audit.
- Complete quarterly lender reporting and ensure compliance with all banking requirements.
- Review monthly reconciliations and working papers, stepping in where needed to support accuracy and deadlines.
- Attend monthly performance meetings with restaurant leadership and the VP of Finance to review financial results.
- Compile and finalize month-end reporting package.
- Prepare supporting schedules for tax filings and liaise with the tax team when required.
- Create reports and analysis to provide insight into business performance and trends.
- Support the maintenance and improvement of financial systems alongside the Senior Accountant.
- Ad hoc duties as needed.
- Designated CPA
- 7+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry is an asset.
- 5 days in office role.
- Salary: $150,000 to $170,000
- 3 to 4 weeks’ vacation
- Discretionary bonus
