An established commercial property management organization is seeking a Building Engineer to support operations at an established Winnipeg property. Single site.
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Engineer is responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and test life safety systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, generators, fire pumps)
- Respond to tenant service requests and complete documentation accurately and promptly
- Perform preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs (HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, lighting)
- Monitor and maintain water treatment systems
- Operate and interpret building automation systems
- Support energy management and sustainability initiatives
- Assist with projects, inventories, and regulatory compliance
- Provide support during construction activities and system shutdowns
- Participate in after-hours emergency response as required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial building operations (intermediate or senior level)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Valid driver’s license considered an asset
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations
- Ability to perform moderate physical activity and work in varying conditions
- Criminal record check required
