About The Opportunity
This opportunity sits within a busy Corporate Group supporting a diverse and growing client base. The successful candidate will work closely with lawyers and clients on transactional matters and ongoing corporate maintenance.

About The Position
Reporting to the Corporate Group, the Corporate Paralegal will play a key role in supporting lawyers with corporate transactions and maintaining corporate records.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing and filing online submissions with BC Corporate Registries and Corporations Canada
  • Drafting corporate documentation including incorporations, dissolutions, extra-provincial registrations, business name registrations, director and officer changes, share issuances and transfers, dividends, redemptions, and related resolutions
  • Conducting corporate and due diligence searches
  • Reviewing and maintaining minute books, identifying and correcting deficiencies
  • Updating and maintaining corporate records within a corporate database
  • Responding to inquiries from lawyers and clients and managing day-to-day corporate matters
This role requires strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume practice.
 
The Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized Legal Assistant or Paralegal diploma program (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a corporate paralegal role within a business law firm
  • Strong working knowledge of British Columbia and Federal corporate legislation
  • Proficiency with ALF or another corporate database
  • Experience with transactional drafting and corporate filings
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and document management systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Client-focused mindset and ability to work independently in a team environment
 Compensation
  • Base salary: $65,000 – $85,000, commensurate with skills and experience
