The Opportunity
The Controller is a key leadership role within the Finance team and plays a critical part in ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and strategic insight across a growing multi-entity organization.
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and financial analysis. The Opportunity
The Controller is a key leadership role within the Finance team and plays a critical part in ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and strategic insight across a growing multi-entity organization.
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Provide financial insights to support executive decision-making
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll integration, inventory, and general ledger functions
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and expense allocation
- Maintain and monitor multi-entity accounting records
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies
- Ensure compliance with ASPE and applicable regulatory requirements
- Support audit preparation and financial governance initiatives
- Mentor and develop accounting staff
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment
- Partner closely with operations and cross-functional leaders to support business objectives
- CPA designation (required)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of ASPE and multi-entity accounting
- Experience in hospitality, service-based, or operational environments considered an asset
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems
- Strong analytical thinking and communication abilities
