The Opportunity
The Controller is a key leadership role within the Finance team and plays a critical part in ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and strategic insight across a growing multi-entity organization.

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and financial analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for a forward-thinking accounting leader who enjoys both hands-on technical work and team leadership within a dynamic and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics
• Provide financial insights to support executive decision-making

Accounting Operations

• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll integration, inventory, and general ledger functions
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition and expense allocation
• Maintain and monitor multi-entity accounting records

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies
• Ensure compliance with ASPE and applicable regulatory requirements
• Support audit preparation and financial governance initiatives

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and develop accounting staff
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment
• Partner closely with operations and cross-functional leaders to support business objectives

Qualifications & Experience

• CPA designation (required)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of ASPE and multi-entity accounting
• Experience in hospitality, service-based, or operational environments considered an asset
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems
• Strong analytical thinking and communication abilities
• A collaborative leadership style with a desire to build culture and support team growth
