Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst for a remote long-term contract opportunity with our Government client based in Winnipeg. This position is expected until September 30, 2026 with potential extension to December 31, 2026
The Systems Analyst will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience involved in the implementation of clinical information systems in a healthcare environment in an analysis role.

- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for clinical information systems, data integrations, and reporting initiatives
- Analyze, map, and validate patient data conversion requirements from central client registries to new systems
- Develop integration specifications and support implementation following HL7 standards, including Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)
- Conduct data modeling, migration planning, and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of clinical data
- Participate in the implementation of the Initiate Client Registry System, including configuration, testing, and stakeholder support
- Support deployment and integration of Altera Sunrise Suite products, including workflow, reporting, and interface analysis
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment between clinical workflows, IT solutions, and organizational goals
- Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to clinical and operational staff
- Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and healthcare regulations
- Assist with change management and continuous improvement initiatives within the health information systems environment
- Post-Secondary degree majoring in computer science, software development, business computing, or management information systems
- Valid PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner certification.
- 10 years’ experience as a systems or integration analyst in a project environment including integration specifications, data modeling, and data migration experience.
- 10 years’ experience involved in the implementation of clinical information systems in a healthcare environment in an analysis role.
- 5 years’ experience analyzing patient data conversion and mapping requirements from a central client registry system to new systems implemented in a healthcare setting.
- 2 years’ experience implementing an Initiate client registry system in a healthcare setting.
- 3 years’ experience performing integration and data conversion analysis on a Radiology Information System (RIS) or a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) used for diagnostic imaging services. Integration must follow the Health Level 7 (HL7) standard.
- 5 years’ experience implementing the Altera Sunrise Suite of products in a healthcare setting including integration and reporting analysis.
- Criminal background is required.
