The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an entry-level accounting professional to join its Finance team as an Accounts Payable Clerk. This is an in-office position working closely with finance colleagues across multiple offices.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and disbursement transactions. You’ll collaborate regularly with lawyers, paralegals, legal assistants, and vendors — making this a dynamic role where professionalism and communication matter.
Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Reviewing and processing daily cheque requests, vendor invoices, and expense reimbursements
  • Interpreting and applying firm expense policies
  • Determining appropriate cost codes and general ledger accounts
  • Posting vendor invoices and expense reimbursements
  • Preparing accounts payable reports
  • Printing and preparing cheques
  • Supporting the Finance team with additional duties as required
What You Bring
  • 1–2 years of related education or experience in accounting or finance
  • A high level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Strong organizational and data entry skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe)
  • Experience with accounting software is considered an asset
  • Experience with electronic expense or invoice systems is considered an asset
  • Experience in a professional services or legal environment is considered an asset
