ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accountant to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This role offers full-cycle accounting responsibility within a manufacturing and project-based environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO and operational leadership, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting financial decision-making. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
• Lead the month-end close process, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation
• Perform full-cycle accounting including AR, AP, payroll coordination, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
• Monitor and reconcile inventory and job costing within a fabrication/manufacturing environment
• Support cash flow management, banking activities, and account reconciliations
• Track equipment, fixed assets, amortization, and capital expenditures
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Prepare year-end working papers and liaise with external accountants
• Ensure compliance with GST, PST, WCB, payroll remittances, and other regulatory requirements
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
• Provide financial insights to ownership and project managers to support operational decisions
• Assist with process improvements and strengthening internal controls

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• CPA designation or active pursuit considered an asset
• 2–4 years of full-cycle accounting experience
• Experience within manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or industrial environments strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting and job costing
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems)
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with operations
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Analytical and proactive mindset
• Ability to work independently in a hands-on environment

COMPENSATION

• Base salary in the range of $70,000 – $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications
