Join a well-established organization based in Mississauga, ON, currently seeking an Accounting Analyst to support the Finance and Asset Management team during a busy period.

This is a 2-month contract with potential for an extension. Ideal for an analytically driven accounting professional who enjoys full-cycle accounting, reconciliations, and supporting internal and external audits in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits & Perks
  • Compensation: $30 to $37/hour
  • Contract Position: 2 months to start with potential for an extension.
  • Please note: Hybrid – mainly remote with occasional visits to the Client’s Mississauga office (free parking).
  • Hours: Minimum 4 days a week and up to 5 days a week. 8 hours a day with 1-hour unpaid lunch.
Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management
  • Review AP invoices: verify amounts, vendors, and approvals per purchasing policy
  • Confirm vendor banking information and update EFT forms in Dynamics GP
  • Update SIN database from received tax forms
Financial Reporting & Reconciliations
  • Maintain T4A data files and assist with reconciliations
  • Pull departmental statements, download and verify GL reports
  • Prepare bank reconciliations for 5 accounts, including deposits and outstanding cheques
  • Record journal entries and download GL reports in Dynamics GP
  • Assist with other balance sheet reconciliations
Audit & Compliance Support
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit working papers
  • Coordinate with departments on finance-related requests
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Actively working toward a professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills
  • Experience with accounting ERP systems (Dynamics GP preferred)
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
