Our client, a well-established and highly regarded engineering consulting firm in Alberta, is seeking a Director, Water/Wastewater to lead and grow their Alberta practice. This role can be based in Calgary or Edmonton.
This is a senior leadership opportunity offering strategic influence in a growing Alberta market, ownership of major water and wastewater initiatives, and the autonomy to shape a high-impact portfolio. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening client relationships, positioning the firm regionally, and building a high-performing, multidisciplinary team aligned with national growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and grow an 8-person team, fostering technical excellence and professional development.
- Oversee project quality, delivery, and technical standards across Alberta water and wastewater projects.
- Manage a sub-P&L within a multi-million-dollar portfolio, ensuring strong financial performance.
- Drive market growth through client relationship management, major pursuits, and business development initiatives.
- Align Alberta operations with the national Water/Wastewater strategy and collaborate closely with teams across regions.
- Proven leadership experience with strong team development and supervisory capabilities.
- Strategic mindset with solid financial and business acumen.
- Client-focused approach with demonstrated success in relationship building and market growth.
- Sound technical judgment in water and wastewater treatment and consulting.
- Strong communication skills, adaptability, initiative, and the drive to rebuild, grow, and guide a high-performing Alberta team.
