About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Architect with strong design and technical coordination experience to join their growing team. In this role, you’ll lead commercial retail and restaurant projects from concept to completion, balancing creativity, functionality, and client needs.
You will work directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver spaces that are efficient, well-detailed, code-compliant, and visually compelling.
  • Must have experience in Grocery Store designs or big-box retail stores.
Location - Winnipeg, Manitoba

Main Duties
  • Lead design development on commercial projects
  • Produce accurate 2D and 3D architectural drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Prepare permit and construction documents with full building system coordination
  • Manage client communication and design intent throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning, and accessibility requirements
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining quality and timelines
  • Perform construction administration and field review duties as required
What You Bring
  • Master of Architecture (M.Arch) or equivalent
  • Licensed Architect or eligible for registration (preferred)
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in commercial architecture in grocery stores or similar projects with refrigeration-type setups.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, detailing, and regulatory approvals
  • Project Management experience would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (2D & 3D workflow)
  • Professional client-facing communication skills
  • Detail-driven, accountable, and able to work independently
Compensation
  • 70k to 90K
  • Performance-based bonus program
