We’re currently supporting a well-established organization based in downtown Vancouver with the hire of a Contract Accounts Payable Clerk. This is an in-office, full-time opportunity with an ASAP start, ideal for someone with 1–2 years of AP experience who’s looking for a stable, well-supported environment.
The accounting team is lean and collaborative, with clear processes already in place. This role has become available due to workload and team burnout rather than performance issues, so the focus is on bringing in reliable support.
About the Role Reporting directly to the Controller, the AP Clerk will support a small accounting team consisting of a Controller, Accounting Manager, Intermediate Accountant, Junior Accountant, and an Admin Assistant. Invoices are typically received pre-approved, with minimal follow-up required.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurate coding and posting of vendor invoices, deposits, and journal entries
- Managing bill payments and responding to AP inquiries from vendors
- Monthly billing of chargebacks to related companies
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns
- Occasional support with bank deposits, payments, and office filing
- Other accounting and administrative duties as required
- 1–2 years of Accounts Payable experience
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is highly preferred
- Exposure to similar accounting systems is also acceptable (training provided)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional, reliable, and able to manage routine AP tasks independently
- In-office, full-time (generally 8:30am–5:00pm, with reasonable flexibility)
- Downtown Vancouver location
- $20–25 per hour, depending on experience
- Contract role with an immediate start
