Aplin has partnered with a leading construction materials and civil construction organization operating throughout British Columbia and the Yukon to recruit a Regional Ready-Mix Supervisor based in Cranbrook, BC.
This organization provides integrated civil construction services, acting as a general contractor on projects that include excavation, utilities, concrete placement, sidewalks, curbs, and road construction.
Position Overview The Regional Ready-Mix Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and performance of Ready-Mix plants across assigned regions in British Columbia and the Yukon. Reporting to the General Manager of Ready Mix, this role serves as a key liaison between customers, employees, and internal stakeholders while ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations.
Role Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and optimize Ready-Mix plant operations by managing people, production, safety, quality, and financial performance. The Regional Ready-Mix Supervisor ensures compliance with regulatory and company standards while driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The Regional Ready-Mix Supervisor ensures compliance with regulatory and company standards while driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and sustain the Ready-Mix business across assigned regions, ensuring strong overall business performance
- Support efficient and profitable operations while minimizing costs and material waste
- Inspect plant cleanliness, asset utilization, and compliance with company standards
- Optimize plant efficiency, equipment reliability, and inventory management
- Lead regional safety performance and accountability for leading indicator safety metrics
- Implement and support the company HSE program and ensure all requirements are met
- Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Lead by example to promote a best-in-class safety culture
- Monitor bid opportunities and develop strong local customer relationships
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and logistics teams
- Prepare and present bids, proposals, and contracts
- Develop and implement production, delivery, and maintenance strategies
- Plan and manage labor, materials, equipment, and inventory
- Ensure quality control processes meet required specifications and standards
- Coordinate major maintenance and repairs with shop and equipment teams
- Ensure ongoing plant cleanliness and asset upkeep
- Accountable for regional P&L, including receivables and payables
- Prepare quotes, estimates, and performance reports related to costs, production, and rejects
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Monitor inventory levels and financial controls
- Lead, coach, and develop direct reports and regional teams
- Build and sustain high-performing teams
- Support recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning
- Foster positive employee and union relations where applicable
- Communicate goals, objectives, and corrective actions clearly
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including HSE, finance, HR, and operations
- 5–10 years of industry experience in a supervisory role or equivalent
- Strong technical knowledge of concrete production and Ready-Mix equipment
- Hands-on experience operating and maintaining Ready-Mix equipment
- Proficiency with dispatch software and Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to travel to various business units and corporate offices
- Use of personal protective equipment as required
- Compliance with drug and alcohol testing requirements
- $100,000 – $130,000 CAD annually, with final compensation based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
