Director of Finance

We’re looking for a hands-on Director of Finance to step into a senior leadership role that combines day-to-day financial oversight with system improvement and strategic reporting. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys bringing structure, improving processes, and delivering results in a fast-moving environment.

This will be a hybrid model position in Calgary.

What You’ll Do

• Own the full finance function, including financial statements, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  
  
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting for leadership and governance
  
  
• Review and improve existing accounting structures and processes
  
  
• Lead and manage finance systems, including evaluating and guiding system upgrades
  
  
• Oversee payroll, AP/AR, and month-end activities
  
  
• Support audit preparation, risk management, and board-level reporting
  
  
• Build strong working relationships with senior leadership and internal partners
  
  
• Lead and support a small, experienced finance team

What We’re Looking For

• CPA Designation and senior-level finance experience, ideally in not-for-profit or charitable organizations
  
  
• Strong understanding of Canadian not for profit reporting requirements
  
  
• Comfortable balancing operational work with strategic oversight
  
  
• Confident, hands-on leader who delivers and follows through
  
  
• Not afraid of technology or system change
  
  
• Experience working with Microsoft Great Plains (Dynamics GP) is a strong asset
