Aplin has partnered with a leading building materials company to recruit a driven and well-rounded Production Manager. This full- time position will be based in North Bay. ON.
The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing activities within their department are of the highest quality and are conducted safely and efficiently. This individual will effectively allocate staff to meet sales forecasts and production schedules, while working closely with other departments on continuous improvement initiatives.

The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing activities within their department are of the highest quality and are conducted safely and efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Monitor, manage, and coordinate the activities of the Lead Hands, Teams, and Processes to achieve the planned results for an overall production line or lines.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other departments.
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve safety, productivity, product quality, and on time delivery.
- Requisition materials and supplies.
- Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
- Promote positive employee relations through open communication.
- Report daily on performance results.
- Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work.
- Previous window and/or door manufacturing experience required
- Engineering Degree, Business Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Management and/or supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
- Proven leadership skills.
- Experience working with quality systems.
- Knowledge and experience leading lean manufacturing projects is an asset.
- Project management experience is an asset.
- Ability to solve problems and is hands-on.
- Demonstrated computer skills and aptitude are required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Candidates must currently be in Canada and not require employer visa assistance
- Monday to Friday, Day time Work Schedule
- Salary Range: $80K to $125K
